Lightfoot Cloud

What gets recorded

Cloudflare and the host that serves these files keep access logs. Those logs can include an IP address, a browser user agent, and the URL requested. Cloudflare may set a cookie while it checks that a visitor is a browser.

Sites we host

Lightfoot Cloud hosts static websites only. A site Lightfoot Cloud hosts for someone else may be served from the homelab in Kentucky or from Amazon Web Services. On AWS, S3 stores the files and CloudFront stores the cache, with Cloudflare still in front. Those hosts keep the same kind of access logs: an IP address, a browser user agent, and the URL. This page does not offer a cache control panel, accounts, or file uploads. Sign-in for a hosted site is on panel.lightfoot.cloud, which has its own privacy page. If a hosting payment fails, the site is suspended on day 8 and deleted on day 38 after reminder emails; we keep backups for no more than 30 days after that.

Site reports

If you ask for a site report, Lightfoot Cloud opens the URL you name. The report records that URL, screenshots of the page, and console or network errors. Those records stay in a private GitLab project. They are not published on this website. We keep reports for no more than 30 days.

Who processes it

Cloudflare (network, access logs, browser-check cookie), Amazon Web Services (S3/CloudFront for hosted sites). No New Relic and no analytics on this site. Processing happens in the United States.

What this site does not do

  • Our fonts are hosted on our own servers, so loading them does not send your information to Google or any other font provider. The font files are licensed under the SIL Open Font License.
  • There is no account system on this website and no chatbot. Sign-in for a site we host is on panel.lightfoot.cloud.
  • You cannot upload files here.
  • This site does not take payment.

Asking for deletion

Email [email protected] to see or delete access logs or report records. We respond within 30 days. Legal notices: [email protected]. We keep our homelab access logs for no more than 30 days; Cloudflare and AWS keep their logs under their own retention settings.
